Hello and welcome to the Wythenshawe Wheelers All Abilities Cycling Club!

Wythenshawe Wheelers is the first cycling club with a focus on cyclists with a disability to gain British Cycling's Go-Ride accreditation.

Our club was set up in 2005 in partnership with Manchester City Council and Cycling Projects as an inclusive cycling club where people with disabilities come first. We became independent in 2007.

The main focus of our club is to offer cycling to people with a disability. We have over 70 adapted bikes and we are confident that anyone can ride a bike regardless of their ability. We offer four weekly sessions: three are open to cyclists of all abilities with the other dedicated to schools.

We have open sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday 9.30 - 12 noon and Saturdays 1 - 3pm. Open sessions are about recreational cycling where people can focus on fun and the health benefits of riding bikes. We have as many as 40 riders with a disability regularly attending Wythenshawe Wheelers' open sessions.

There's no need to book, come down, take a look! You can find us at The Athletics Facility, Wythenshawe Park, Wythenshawe Road, Manchester M23. If you need any more information before you visit please ring Sue on 07753 428937.

The school session is delivered by a British Cycling Go-Ride Coach and gives structured cycle training. School sessions are run on Fridays from 9.30 - 3.00. Booking for these is essential. Please call Nicky Boothroyd on 07946 524475 for more information..

Over the past year more than 140 young people have had access to quality cycle coaching through the school sessions. The result has been that young people from different schools have been able to compete against each other in interschool competitions.
